Terms of Service — FPL Dugout
Last updated: 3 June 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Matthew Studdert, operating FPL Dugout as a sole trader ("we", "us"), covering your use of FPL Dugout at fpldugout.com (the "service"). By creating an account, submitting an FPL team ID, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What FPL Dugout is
FPL Dugout is an independent, informational Fantasy Premier League companion. You give us your public FPL team ID and we produce a season review, statistics, projections and written analysis to help you reflect on and plan your own FPL decisions.
3. Not affiliated with the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League
FPL Dugout is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the Premier League, Fantasy Premier League, or any of their group companies. "Premier League", "Fantasy Premier League" and "FPL" are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what the service does. We read data from the public FPL API; all player, fixture and team data originates with the Premier League / FPL and belongs to them. See our separate Disclaimer.
4. Eligibility and your account
- You must be old enough to hold a Fantasy Premier League account and at least 13 to use the service (matching FPL's own minimum and the UK GDPR digital-consent age). If you're under 18, you may need a parent or guardian's help, as FPL itself notes.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- You agree to give accurate information (including a valid FPL team ID that you're entitled to use) and to keep it up to date.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of the Premier League's / FPL's own terms;
- scrape, bulk-download, resell, or build a competing product from the service's output;
- submit FPL team IDs at a scale or rate intended to abuse the service, overload it, or evade rate limits;
- attempt to break, probe, or circumvent the service's security, access controls, or another user's account;
- send spam, malware, or attempt to inject malicious input; or
- misrepresent your affiliation with us or with the Premier League / FPL.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or remove access to protect the service and other users.
6. Informational only — not betting or financial advice
The service is provided for information and entertainment only.
- Nothing in the service is betting, gambling, investment, or financial advice, a recommendation, or a prediction you should rely on.
- Projections, expected points, ratings and AI-written analysis are estimates produced by automated models and will be wrong some of the time. Fantasy Premier League outcomes are uncertain.
- You make your own FPL decisions. Any action you take based on the service is at your own risk. We are not responsible for your FPL rank, results, or any losses (including any third-party betting you choose to do — which we neither provide nor encourage).
7. The AI-written analysis
Part of your report is generated by an automated language model. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and it does not represent the view of any human analyst or coach. Treat it as a starting point for your own thinking, not as fact.
8. Your data
Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the service you acknowledge that policy.
9. Intellectual property
- The service's design, code, branding and original written content are ours (or our licensors') and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own, non-commercial FPL use.
- Your data stays yours. Underlying FPL player/fixture/team data belongs to the Premier League / FPL, not to us or you.
- The report we generate for you is provided for your personal use; you may share your own report link, but you may not present the service's output as your own product or as official FPL content.
10. Availability, changes, and "as is"
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law — including any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
- We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the data or projections will be accurate or available. The service depends on the third-party FPL API, which may change or go down outside our control.
- We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, FPL rank, or opportunity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service; and
- our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100.
Because the service is currently free, in most cases that amount will be the fixed sum above.
12. Termination
- You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Account settings.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or where we reasonably need to (e.g. legal or security reasons).
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
